Dude what's on there website is nothing compared to what they have unreleased and their live show. All that's on their myspace is music from their e.p.'s and that's just more of the poppy stuff. A lot of their other shit is real experimental though. Like sort of psychedelic jazzy guitar solo's on top of really thick and brilliant bass lines. With some trippy layered synth playing going along with a lot of the music and into synth solos. And you could see them one week and they'll play a set. Then you could see them the next week and they'll play completely different versions of songs. Always keeping it fresh really. It's just something that you don't really see with many other bands. And they consistently put on a great show. That's one of the main reason's I even really like them. I usually only listen to music that's out of the ordinary or unique in some way. Mainly with the singer's. That's the same reason that Hed is one of my favorite bands too. Believe me they're absolutely not in any way like Nickelback or H.I.M. I mean yeah, that is your opinion. But come on really? Nickelback and Him are both so generic. That's actually kind of harsh. haha

haha sorry. only checked out their myspace. don't know anything more about the band and that was juat my first impression.

It's kool man. I should've stated that first. Cause when I go on their myspace and act as if I hadn't heard them before I would probably feel the same way. Seeing as the only 2 songs on there are like their 2 most pop sounding songs. And all those songs are from their latest e.p. that was recorded like a year and a half ago if not 2 years. They have 2 new guitarists now too. You guys would like Nick's last band the most though. They were called myDownfall. That's like the heaviest shit he released. It was between Lifer and theDramaClub. But yeah I said that Hed fan's would give them a hard time because that's what Nick, their lead singer, said. I guess he just figured that because most, not all, Hed fans either listen to rap or metal. But he also hadn't listened to Hed since like the Broke and Blackout years. So this one night he was hangin out here with me and I played him all of their music and he was going crazy over it. Mainly the new shit. He couldn't get over how good it was. He almost wouldn't believe me that it was them.

Here's a live video for theDramaClub - Closer to the Sun. This was their first song. Nick actually wrote this song with Chino Moreno of the Deftones when he was out in Chicago. He was out there because he joined the former members of Filter to make the band Widescreen. That's why he quit myDownfall. Then things didn't go as planned so he came back here to make TDC. But when he was out there he jammed with Chino a lot and came up with a lot of the first ideas for songs for theDramaClub. Here's a few channel links on youtube for some more of his material.

Word of Mouth PA These girls have an eZine and they really do a lot to help out bands in our area. Even scooped me up out of their way once to go to a show in NYC.
PA Rocks This one and the W.O.M. one have a lot of other bands so you'll have to go through their videos for the drama club ones.
Of course a good amount of videos wont be very good quality. As with any on youtube. But there are some good ones. I appreciate you taking a listen. These guys really work their asses off and are known for having the same D.I.Y. ethic as Hed and many other underground bands today.
