Biffy Clyro - A Whole Child Ago
excited about the gig tonight. haven't seen them since 2002.

(anonymous): stinkfist is my favorite tool song. a little more upbeat and harder than most of the other stuff. too bad it's about assfisting.

I read an interview when they said it's just a metaphor, it's supposed to be about sacrifice or something, not to be taken literally but it's quite difficult Razz
It's one of my favorites, too.

Offspring - Gone Away

its supposed to be about the gradual desensitization we as a people face

thats why it starts with fingers in the borderline (anus)
its new its nice
then eventually thats not enough
so knuckles in the borderline
then it gets to the point where that isnt enough
so eventually shoulder deep

its supposed to be a metaphor
for us wanting more and more until thats not enough

at least thats what i think

oh by the way

According to Keenan it's about "choosing compassion over fear"
there's a verse "show me that you love me" or sth like that so it seems that the one taking the hand is sacrificing for love Smile

anyway, right now i've switched to:

Offspring - Nitro

I love their first albums Smile

The new lostprophets album is head and shoulders abover LT, which I actually threw out after listening to it once, I was pissed off that one of the most energetic young british bands had completely sold out. Anyway, I decided I would give this album a try.

It is a step in the right direction, with tracks like DSTRYR/DSTRYR and Next stop, also there are some great softer songs on the album like A better nothing. However overall the album I have to say is quite poorly wrote. Its not that they haven't satisfied the genres I was looking for. I'm just saying some of the songs are just poor in general.

Maybe I've just been spoilt with Start Something. I can't help but remember when the lads made catchy songs with a metal edge, huge choruses and fantastic bridges/break downs.
